Connect Medical Clinic’s providers are committed to holistic reproductive care that does not prescribe or refer for hormonal contraceptives but prioritizes restoring balance by correcting the source of the dysfunction.

Connection-Centered Services
Our wellness-focused services promote health, foster healthy relationships, and empower men and women to make confident decisions that preserve natural function. Our providers aim to connect patients to their bodies in a state of well-being for a healthier future.
Sports Physicals: A sports history and exam with our Nurse Practitioner help young athletes determine if it’s safe to participate in sports.
Annual Wellness Exams (Men and Women): Stay up-to-date on important health screening changes and illness prevention with an annual physical exam with a holistic wellness approach. This includes screening for cancers with PAP test, breast exams, colon screening, and genetic testing.
STI Screening: The CDC recommends an STI screening evaluation annually and with any new sexual partner. Screening refers to a routine test, performed regardless of signs or symptoms of infection. STI screening evaluations consider the patient holistically, and may include a genital exam if indicated.
Preconception Evaluation: A wellness evaluation with education for women and men anticipating a pregnancy. This holistic evaluation is recommended for both partners three months ahead of trying to conceive. Includes a wellness-reproductive exam; may also include lab tests, including genetic testing.
Body Literacy for Teens: The puberty education you wish you had! Body Literacy education empowers young people (11-17) to understand the holistic basics of puberty, interpret hormone changes in their bodies, and make decisions for greatest health outcomes in the future. Includes a development assessment with a provider. Offered in the clinic, as well as on outreach in classrooms, and small group settings. Total of 4 sessions with our medical care team!
Cycle Syncing for Health and Wellness: Did you know ovulation is a fifth vital sign for women? Cycle Syncing education can help women understand their cycle in a state of health and harness the holistic benefits of healthy ovulation. Involves cycle charting education and evaluation of chart with our provider for health recommendations. *Our team are FEMM Instructors; see femmhealth.org for more details. This education service includes 4 sessions with our medical care team.
ConnectED: An ongoing holistic, individualized, and relationship-based education and support program for Connect patients. Through regular 1:1 time with our medical care team, our patients are equipped with the knowledge they need to connect with their health and make positive decisions for their futures. For every lesson, participants receive practical items donated from our larger family of support.

Our choice-centered services provide medical information and intentional education, empowering men and women to make informed decisions aligned with their own values and goals, fostering dignity-centered empowerment.
Early Pregnancy Evaluation with Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound Exam and Decision-Making: Our Early Pregnancy Evaluation provides holistic medical care needed to verify pregnancy. An evidence-based linear decision-tool is utilized to help the woman consider her pregnancy decision. A limited OB ultrasound and physical exam with the provider gives women (and/or men/couples) the medical confirmation to move forward with confidence.
Birth Control Education and Decision-Making: There are a multitude of options available for women and men desiring to avoid the conception of a child. Our medical care team helps women and men consider their values around contraception and medically evaluate the risks and benefits of each method. An evidence-based linear decision-tool is utilized so women and men are able to move forward with confidence.
IUD Removal (with visible strings) / Nexplanon Removal: When it’s time to remove a woman’s LARC (long-acting reversible contraception) device, our medical team is here to provide care and help with future decisions surrounding fertility.
Cycle Charting for Family Planning: Our medical team have common knowledge of various Fertility-Awareness-Based Methods (FABMs) or cycle-tracking educational methods. These methods allow women to identify clear signs of fertility, chart these signs, and recognize their own fertile window. This education can be utilized to achieve or avoid pregnancy. Involves cycle charting education and evaluation of chart with our provider for health recommendations. *Our team are FEMM Instructors; see femmhealth.org for more details. This education service includes 3 sessions with our medical care team.
Sexual Health Risk Avoidance Education: For older teens (14 and older), sexual health risk avoidance education (inside the clinic or outreach in classrooms) provides comprehensive education on topics like STIs, contraception, consent, healthy relationships, and both primary and secondary risk avoidance. We believe everyone has the right to make choices from a place of informed consent, and dignity-centered education empowers positive health outcomes.

Gynecological Concerns Evaluation: Our providers are here to address gynecological conditions including, but not limited to, hormonal/endocrine imbalances, PCOS, irregular menses, postmenopausal bleeding, breakthrough bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, abnormal PAP/cervical cancer management, and endometriosis. Our medical team is dedicated to holistically approaching a woman’s cycle concerns, getting to the root of the underlying condition, and restoring balance to the natural state of function by correcting the source of the dysfunction.
Medical Management for Menstrual Cycles: Period problems are common, but they are not normal. Our medical team is dedicated to holistically approaching a woman’s cycle concerns, getting to the root of the underlying condition, and restoring balance to the natural state of function by correcting the source of the dysfunction.
Post Abortion Exam: This is a two-part evaluation, one visit 7-10 days after the procedure and another in 30 days. Our medical team holistically addresses the physical and emotional healing of a woman after a chemical or surgical abortion. Contraception history and decision-making services may be included.
Post Miscarriage Exam: This is a two-part evaluation, one 7-10 days after the pregnancy loss and another in 30 days. Our medical team holistically addresses the physical and emotional health of a woman who has experienced pregnancy loss due to miscarriage. Gynecological concerns and fertility evaluations may be included.
Infertility Evaluation: For women and couples struggling to conceive, our medical team offers holistic, life-affirming, and comprehensive infertility evaluations and treatment. May include cycle tracking education, lab testing, and physical exam.
STI Testing and Treatment: When a man or woman has symptoms of an STI, including rash or sores, painful urination or intercourse, or unusual genital bleeding or discharge, a medical evaluation and STI panel will provide the medical care needed to address the underlying cause of the symptoms. Treatment for the infection and follow-up care allow the patient to move forward with confidence. Referrals made when indicated.
We are here to empower you to make informed, confident decisions about your health. Your visits are treated with discretion and confidentiality, to the extent allowed by state law.
We are staffed by registered nurses, who serve you under the direction of our Medical Director, Dr. Thomas Arnold, MD. Due to the operational structure of our clinic, there are a number of services that are outside of our scope of practice. Services not provided are: contraception or referrals, abortion or referrals, ongoing prenatal care that includes delivery, surgery, infertility evaluation and treatment, prenatal diagnosis and genetic counseling, or complicated gynecology.
