We know that today, young people are facing unprecedented challenges related to their reproductive and sexual health. The media and our culture bombard our youth with messages that are contrary to our deeply held values and declare them as true.
Where can they go? Who can they turn to?
Ten years ago, our faith community founded a safe place for confident decisions, especially for women facing unplanned pregnancies. In 2013, a group dedicated to protecting futures and saving lives gathered to pray and do whatever it took to make the dream a reality.
Over the years, Connect Medical has grown in services, staff, and patients served. What has remained the same: Our vision of creating a safe haven and walking with those facing unplanned pregnancies.
On April 13, 2023, we are having our Stand Together Annual Fundraising banquet. All the communities of faith that have been interceding for this mission over the last decade will be represented (Lord willing), and Stand Together for life as we advance the mission into the future!

Our speaker, Beth Chase, is considered an expert on the Pregnancy Medical Movement. She was among the core leaders who started pregnancy medical clinics in the late 1980s after some radical pro-abortion groups sued several pregnancy resource centers in Southern California for providing free pregnancy tests and not being medical clinics. “Ok,” she said. “We’ll be medical clinics then.” She has helped innumerable navigate waves of intimidation and forge walls of protection around the mission to serve those most vulnerable for an unplanned pregnancy.
Beth has served as the President/CEO of two organizations similar to Connect. She now serves the movement by providing education and coaching to clinics all over the country, especially focused on the areas of risk management, executive leadership, and board health. She and her husband Craig were here in Dickinson in 2017 and helped our transition to a medical clinic and expand our medical services, like STI testing and fertility awareness education.
She comes to share with us a look back at the last 50 years in our movement, where we are today, and where it’s going in the future.
